Event: ‘KidsMade’ Craft Bazaar
Location: Chennai, India
Venue: Enchanting Elves – The Children’s Activity Resource Centre in Chennai.
Event Schedule: Date and Time will be informed to the parents.

How to participate in the ‘KidsMade’ Craft Bazaar?

Step 1:
Enroll your child in our summer camps at Enchanting Elves, Chennai.

Step2:
Children will be taught various art and craft techniques by our craft resource team.

Step 3:
The art and craft creations made by the children will be displayed at the venue. A mini stall of eateries made by the kids will be available at the venue.

DIY craft and art kits ( available at all craft and fancy stores) are a great way to introduce your child to craft and arts; however parents must allow their children to explore their interests beyond these hobby kits.  Moving one step forward in this pursuit, Enchanting Elves will bring across  highly skilled artisans and craft resource persons to demonstrate various craft techniques to this part of Chennai.

The workshop options are customised for various age groups: 3 years to 5 years

Group 2: 6 years to 12 years

Group 3: 13 years and above

Maximum seats per workshop is 15. Check this blog for workshop schedules

It’s a tough call for  parents to choose the right summer camp for their kids; with a zillion summer camps in Chennai, its definitely a heady decision to make. How do you identify a summer camp that best suits your child? Here’s a start… a check-list to select a summer camp.  Do add your inputs …

1. Ask questions; ask your child what he really wants to do. If the child is not too sure; map his abilities and interests to the activities the camp offers.

2. Choose a camp that is ideally nearby (driving your kids across the town is tough on the kids during the summer)

3. Look around the camp venue; all camps allow you to do that. Its a privilege you must avail.

4. Meet the resource team at the camp.

5. Do they have a doctor on call?

6. Always give instructions to the camp of your child’s food allergy and prescribed medicines.

7. A child psychologist to monitor the child’s behaviors would be a plus.

8. Splash pool is a great way to beat the heat; but check the hygiene factors. Cross infection is high and a sick child is a spoiler.

9. How many kids are enrolled in each class? An average to 10 to 15 per activity is ideal for a resource person and her helper to monitor.

10. Does the camp offer full day and half day option? Working parents prefer a full day activity camo than a creche these days.
